The Challenge

The gender health data gap isn’t just about missing data — it’s a structural problem embedded across the entire health and research ecosystem. From how women access healthcare services, to the lack of data standards that properly record female health challenges, to how research questions are framed and who gets funded, measured, and modeled — every stage of the scientific process systematically overlooks women.

Our Mission

Ask Loni aims to close these structural gaps — helping researchers, funders, and policymakers redesign research projects and data systems so that sex and gender are integrated from the start, not added as an afterthought.
With years of experience in digital health innovation and European data exchange — and research roots at the Hasso Plattner Institute and Harvard Medical School — we understand both the evidence and the economics behind equitable science.

We're not building in public - by design.

If you’re here, you’re likely already part of the conversation we want to have.

We focus on direct exchange with researchers, institutions, funders, and partners who want to improve how sex and gender are considered in medical evidence, even where current practices fall short.
